Finding A Lost Mouse Cursor

When I have trouble finding the mouse cursor I move the mouse until I see it, my room mate has the same problem. Is there a utility that will take the mouse cursor to a set location when it is activated?

 

If you are on Win 10 there are several ways you can change the appearance of the mouse pointer in Settings > Devices > Mouse. Don't miss Related Settings over on the right. Try a black mouse.

 

The stroke left me visual cortex damaged. For example, I don't process lists very well. I currently mouse trails to make it easier. It is still tricky though.

There's a setting in Windows 10 that when set, pressing the Ctrl key produces a large unfilled circle that shrinks and identifies the location of the mouse cursor. I can't recall exactly where it is though. I find it to be extremely helpful to me and maybe it will help you too?

Better instructions:

1. Open the Control Panel. You should see All Control Panel Items.
2. Click "Mouse". The Mouse Properties window should open.
3. Click "Pointer Options".
4. At the bottom of the window, put a checkmark in the box next to "Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key".
5. Click OK.
