Finding Monitor

My computer will not list or find my monitor. It works with a default driver, but I cannot even install the monitor and then change the video driver. (Control Panel System does not show monitor nor Add Hardware find the monitor.

Is this related to the motherboard (ASUS K8V)? My motherboard installtion disk is bad. Can someone track down the download file(s) I need to replace and/or number to call at ASUS for a replacement.

ASUS drivers from HERE.

Make sure your board isn't a Deluxe or K8V-X etc as the drivers could be different.


What video card and monitor is it? Try updating your video card drivers also.
