firebird oh I mean firefox, where are the bookmarks located?

I am using firebird 0.7 and have installed firefox 0.8, and I would like to nuke fb 0.7, but first I would like to transfer my bookmarks from fb to ff. How is this done?

Somewhere around this area........

C:\Documents and Settings\"Yourusername"\Application Data\Phoenix\Profiles\

hidden folders so will need to make un-hidden!

dont use Firebird Firefox but from what I have read dont they have a bookmark manager app maybe that will aid in location.

OS???? You didn't say, and it ALWAYS makes a HUGE difference, but assuming you're running XP:

Find bookmarks.html in Docs and Sett's\username\Application Data\Phoenix\Profiles, and drill down one more to the SALTED folder (xxxxxx.slt) and it's there. Copy it to another folder before you Create a new Profile and Delete the old Profile (and its Files). Put the bookmarks.html file in the SALTED folder of your new profile with Firefox closed, then open Firefox, and your marks will be there.

EDIT: Didn't mean to sound cranky, but the answer DOES depend on what OS we're looking for your file on.
