    Hi!
Firefox 3.6.9 is running slow and I was hoping someone could help me. It just loads pages really slow. Is there a tutorial page that can walk me through steps on how to figure this out? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

    Greetings, ngoegan.

FF 3.6.9 is vastly outdated - any reason you've not progressed to the newer builds? 3.6.15 is the latest version at this time, and as abekl pointed out, 4.0 is about ready to hit the shelves.

Also, have you tried FF with no add-ons? There may be extensions, plugins, or themes that are causing your issues.

If you really like firefox you might want to try pale moon. I've been having firefox issues so i moved to pale moon. It looks like firefox, it acts like firefox, it's faster than firefox. As I understand it, it was made from mozilla's open source so essentially, it IS firefox. There is a utility to set pale moon the same as firefox, move all of your saved passwords, etc.

    Okay, I upgraded to 3.6.15.
And I had some island theme that I got rid of. The default theme is still there.

Here are the add-ons I have:

    Java Console 6.0.22
    Java Console 6.0.23
    Java Console 6.0.24
Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant 1.2.1 (Says "Adds ClickOnce support and the ability to report installed .NET Framework versions to the web server.)

    Here are the plugins:

    2007 Microsoft Office System 12.0.4518.1014
Active Touch General Plugin Container 2.7.0.6
    Adobe Acrobat 10.0.1.434
    Google Earth Plugin 1.0.0.1
    Google Talk Plugin 1.9.2.0
Google Talk Plugin Video Accelerator 0.1.43.5
    Google Update 1.2.183.39
    Google Updater 2.4.1536.6592
    iTunes Application Detector 1.0.1.1
    Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.240.7
    Java (TM) Platform SE 6 U24 6.0.240.7
Microsoft Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin 1.0.0.8
    Mozilla Default Plug-in 1.0.0.15
    Picasa 2.0.0.0
    QuickTime Plugin-in 7.6.7
    Shockwave Flash 10.2.152.32
    Silverlight Plug-In 4.0.60129.0
    Unity Player 2.1.0.16147
    Veetle TV Core 0.9.18.0
    Veetle TV Player 0.9.18.0
    Windows Presentation Foundation 3.5.30729.1

    Whew!

Any idea if they're all necessary or not or is that going to depend on what I use it for? I do watch videos on it and live hockey feeds. Also just started using Freemind. Any help would be great, thanks!

Are you still experiencing the slowdowns?

If so, try this: Close Firefox. Click Start > All programs > Mozilla Firefox > Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode). Try the Safe Mode FF, see if your symptoms change.

You might also try whatever version of Internet Explorer you have for troubleshooting purposes, see if the same symptoms present with IE.
