firefox*32

Does anyone know how to stop FF from going into 32 mode, i have never had this problem untill the last 2 or 3 days.
I know it is not harmful but it is annoying, I have no idea which website is triggering it (i am working on that) but when it happens if i close my browser for any reason i have to use task manager to stop this process before i can open it again.

I am running Windows 7 ultimate 64bit on an i7 rig.

Any suggestions please.

Hi Bill

I may have missed something here but though apart from the Mozilla x86-64 project that the general release of Firefox was only 32bit, granted I'm not always upto speed on Firefox, but I am running Minefield in native 64bit.

as if I run the general Firefox release its alway starts in *32 mode.

Check your add-ons as not many are 64bit compatible and could break Firefox, so try no-add-ons mode.

What i don't understand David is that this has only started in the last few days and i have not added any software to the PC?

This is interesting though.

I updated to 3.6 just a couple of days ago ( and had to update a couple of add-ons and find an alternative theme ), but I've found that on a couple of sites [ murga-linux.com & deviantart.org in particular ] FF has gone into meltdown and I've had to close and restart the application.

Thought it was just the amount of traffic on the site causing a glitch, but now I'm questioning that...
