Firefox 6 Add-on Compatibility Center

As most of us will know, Firefox will release its stable version 6 on August 16, 2011. Yeah!! :-D

Found this link in which it says which add-ons will be compatible with 6 and above and which are not. Just choose the box(es) you want to see.

Of the 621 add-ons that make up 95% of add-on usage known to Mozilla, 94% are currently considered compatible with the latest builds of Firefox 6.0.

Great link Oma, cheers for posting and I've been using Nightly builds (v8 of Fx) since they started on this next version and its been very stable for me, but to check out some of the popular addons for Fx 6 that I have on a test VM is a good heads up for me in case I come across someone with an issue wit Fx and an addon (personally I use IE9 more).

Hi David, yes, it's good to know which ones of our add-ons will be compatible although the ones not listed may also be compatible but perhaps are not as popular as the ones listed.

One caveat though, I found the listing awkward and would have preferred that AMO would list them in alphabetical order rather than in popularity? At least, 8 of my 10 addons will carry me through until v 8. The other 2 I will have to check out individually if their developers will update them.

Yeah an order by alphabet would have been a great option and I do like that it lists the compat for 8.0a1 and 7.x too, which is handy to know.
