Firefox and Internet Explorer

If I download Firefox, can I remove Internet Explorer? Is it advisable to delete it?

 

You can remove it, but I wouldn't. There are occasionally websites that you cannot view in Firefox.

 

If that is so, is there a program that could make sure that I'm surfing my net safely? I mean has the following features:

• blocking annoying popup windows
• ensure confidential Web surfing

Joking aside, there is a plugin for Firefox that you can install, that allows you to open those few websites in IE. It's called "IE View" and you can get it off of the official Firefox web site, from the plug-in section. It appears in the right-click menu, and gives you the option to "View this page in IE", which will then open said page in Internet Explorer.

A must-have, if nothing else because it makes things simpler.

It helps make browsing safer with IE, blocks some tracking cookies in Firefox. Since you'll only need IE for a very few sites, do you really need a pop-up blocker for it?

 

I'll think about downloading Firefox, if I completely remove IE how can I update my Windows? The only link I know is in the IE.

Firefox is great! ... no more popups, no more crap
I keep IE for Win updates. Can't remember if the IE plugin for FF helps with that problem.
