So for some reason, trying to open any videos in firefox or safari from youtbe crashes the browser but not in internet explorer. And in firefox, some webpages crashes it too. Like when I try to sign in for flickr and such.

Now I've tried uninstalling and installing but to no avail. In fact, after I reinstall and open FF all my previous settings are still there. Any clue as to what may be causing this and a fix?

Dell laptop running windows vista home premium if it helps any.

It might be something to do with Adobe Flash Player. Uninstall both version in Control Panel, Programs and Features. Then reinstall via Internet Explorer and Firefox and post back results.

Well in the control panel it shows Adobe player 10 Plugin and Adobe player ActiveX. Which one would be the one to uninstall? or should i uninstall both along with Adobe Reader, Adobe Air, and Acrobat.com??

    Uninstall:

    Adobe Flash Player Plugin 10
    Adobe Flasher Player ActiveX

Restart the computer after both of them have been uninstalled.

It should only take 30 seconds or less for them to uninstall. Typically under 10 seconds depending upon the speed of your computer.
