Firefox error

    XP Home SP3 - IE7 - Firefox 3.5.3 - I can surf just fine with IE7. I can install FF3.0 and/or 3.5.3 without issues. As soon as I try launch Firefox (either version), I get the error attached below. I also attached a shot of the details. Because IE is working fine, this isn't a huge deal, but the PCs owner would really like FF installed and running.... any help is appreciated.

    Have you tried FF safemode? In Programs Mozilla FireFox.

    The 2nd screen makes it seem like an addon is causing the problem.
    Unfortunately, the addon is an alphanumeric string 972ce4c6...
    In Windows explorer, open the profile for the user Documents & Settings/username/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles
    one of the profiles will end in .default and another .username
    Open the extensions in each and you should see something that starts with 972ce4c6
    Wow, I goggled and found which addon it is, I think

    If you can disable this, it would help. Probably not if it crashes everytime it is opened.

    Perhaps you can launch it in safe mode and uninstall the addon?

    Wow. Thanks for all the help. :grouphug

    Unfortunately, the owner of said PC was in a time crunch and I don't have access to it anymore.... he said he'd be OK with IE for now. But since it seems as if an add-on may have been the issue, he did have the RealPlayer toolbar installed in IE. He also had the Google toolbar and Yahoo toolbar (which I removed) installed, but I doubt the Google tb was responsible.... probably the RP tb. I didn't remove it 'cuz I didn't know if he used it or not....

    Thanks again. I just bookmarked this thread for future reference.... he said he'd bring the PC back when he had more time.
