    Hi,
My OS is windows xp and I have firefox as my browser,my problem is that I cannot play short movies ie youtube etc as when I click on the play button (on webpage) I get this message
"the plug in for this content has been disabled". I then go to plug ins and update via the firefox website which tells me they are unable to detect the plug in version.
I have checked via control panel and Java is there, am I missing something??
This is doing my head in!!

    Many thanks:cry

Even though things show in Control Panel, that does not mean the plugin is installed in FF. (Sad but true; I discovered yesterday that Flash was up to date in FF but not IE. Apparently you have to do every browser separately. grrrr).

Open FF and in the address, type
    Code:
    about:plugins
type what is listed and the version (don't worry about the lines under all the plugins.
We'll then figure out what you need and get them installed.
