I use Firefox for browsing, both on main puter and laptop (by wireless router).

    Problem:
In my hotmail I attempt to click on a website inside an email to go to that site.

    I get an error message:

    Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.hypertracker.com.

    * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.

    * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.

    * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

On my laptop (via wireless connect on same router) it connects, just not on my main computer (this one). ?????

I have tried everything to bypass and connect. Any suggestions?

WinXP Home SP2, Intel P4, 3 gH, 2 gb ddr ram.

    Thanks in advance.confused

I just upgraded firefox to 2.0

I still can't access the page????

I went into TOOLS>OPTIONS and looked for hypertracker in blocked sites. It is not there??

    Any other thoughts?

I will do the whole 9 yards, but I seriously think it is a firewall issue or the like.

Just ran AdAware, Spybot, Asquared yesterday and updated all first. No malware detected. Always running AVG free and AVG antispyware and spyware blaster in background.

You can try in Safe Mode w/ Networking and see if you can get through to it. If you can then you're right, its likely firewall or other software blocking. Have you tred that site in IE?

Tried that site in IE7 - still can't get there.

I have run all the malware scans, etc. Will post on other site tomorrow.
    Thanks for your help.
