Firefox problems.

hi its me again with a problem...

i have recently downloaded firefox as an alternative to IE. and it works perfrectly for me, but recently i went on my bookmarks that i transfered from IE. and they have just dissapeared. then when i went on firefox later my home page was automaticly set back to default. (firefox's version of google.) i fortunately still had many of the favourites on IE so i can transfer them again.

but my question is, is there a way i can stop this from happening again and also what caused the problem

I thought I was the only one who had this problem, when I was using an outdated version, updated firefox and then I haven't had the problem since.

 

Is this the same problem UK?

MozBackup is the way to go.

This utility makes backing up and restoring all the stuff in your profile, bookmarks, cookies, settings, etc., so easy that it's just silly not to do it everyday. Then when anything goes wrong, you have everything back quickly.
Also - When installing a new version of Firefox, it makes making a backup copy of your old profile unncessary - altho- for safety sake, I make one anyway.

 

And if FireFox doesn't pan out for you, have a look at Opera. It's lighter and faster. And it's been around long enough to work out the bugs.

hey barn burner i have been looking for a way to back it up. but didnt know what softweare to use. and rob i might consider opera. and yes sibeer i think that is my problem. thanks for spotting the forum.
