    Hi,

I'd very much appreciate some help. My browser (Firefox) has recently and intermittently started to redirect to other seemingly non-malicious sites when I click on a search result or refresh a webpage.

It (Firefox) has also started to crash a lot (3 or 4 times in a hour session) and something seems to be automatically engaging Acrobat reader even though the page I'm viewing is not a pdf?

I have followed the Malware Removal Guide and nothing has been found (I had also previously run Adaware and Avast, again with nothing found).

I have my MGTools and Combofix logs ready should someone be able to help.

    Many thanks.

Just thought it might be quicker to include logs for my earlier post (below).

I am not seeing anything obvious in your logs. I assume you have run CCleaner and emptied your FF cache.

    Please run this:
    Using Google Redirects.

    Hi TimW,

Thanks for your help. I've run CCleaner and emptied the cache but the problem is intermittent so I can't really say whether or not it has gone.

I haven't had an issue since running the recommended fixes so I live in hope but if the attached doesn't show you anything wrong I'll happily assume the problem gone.

    Many thanks

That log is clean as well. Another good tool is this:
    ATF Cleaner by Atribune.

This program is for Windows XP and Windows 2000 only. ATF Cleaner will remove all files from the items that are checked so if you have some cookies you'd like to save. Please move them to a different directory first.

    * Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
    * Under Main choose: Select All
    * Click the Empty Selected button.

    If you use Firefox browser

    * Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
    * Click the Empty Selected button.
o NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

    Cheers Tim,

Will try it out and let you know if it finds anything.
