Firewall on usb key

Hi guys,

I have a small dilemma, recently somebody has brought to my attention that they can access my desktop from there computer using our company network. I was wondering if somebody knows of a firewall program that I can put on a usb key. I would prefer this because this is my work computer.

I'm gona try PC Tools Firewall and see if I run it from my key.

well, i don't know of any. however this should be more of an it thing at your work. you shouldn't be able to access another comp, unless they have permission, and a program to access certain computer(s) remotely? anyway, g/l

 

You, not owning the machine, being at work, shouldn't do anything. If that concerns you, talk your your IT provider/admin and let him know. Your at work, you dont own the pc, dont do anything like add a firewall that may prevent the it department from remote maintence/patches updates.

Thanks for the suggestion, nowever there are more cons than pros. No indication if it can be rufrom usb drive.

 

Yeah. I thought at one time it was going to be set up to use on a USB device. They really don't have any good documentation on it. They sent me an email last year. Wanted me to test the Beta version. I really didn't see a good reason right now to use it.
