I have an hp pavilion mx 75 computer.
    797 MHz, 384 MB RAM
    I have Windows XP.
I have Norton Internet Security Professional.
I also have the Zone Alarm Firewall.

Over the past few weeks, I have had problems with the firewall denying me access to the Internet at all, and later, after I initially gained access to the internet. I turned off the Norton Firewall and just used the Zone Alarm one, and turned off the Zone Alarm and used the Norton.

I can get on the internet initially, but if I have a Firewall working at all, I am denied access if I try to go to another website. This just started today.

    Could you help?

    Thanks so much!

Two firewalls running(on pc not running at same time)---hmm check that --uninstall one or the other and see if that stops the problem-(maybe a conflict)---

XP sp2 also has built in firewall, make sure that is turned off.
Never run more than one firewall, I wouldnt install more than one either.
Aside from maybe conflict issues between multiple firewalls, Might just be setting's.
I think ZA has a learning mode.

What type internet service ya using, If using cable there have been conectivity issues in the past when using ZA.
I'm previous user of ZA & have cable I never had any problem when I used v4.5 but the never versions were troublesome, fixed that when switched to Sygate Personal free:

Another thought if your on cable, disruptions can occur when company is servicing lines in your area, or on Ocassion you may need to reset your cable modem, anytime I have local storms I have to reset my modem.

Not many Norton fans around MG, I wouldnt suggest Norton especially on a system with spec's similar to yours, as Norton tends to hog resourses.
Norton can be little difficult to remove.
Lot's of great free alturnitives for Antivirus/Spyware/Firewall that use far less resourses & are probably more effective, avaible here at MG.

I might suggest uninstalling all firewall's, XP you can simply turn off, then install only the one you want.
I would also before uninstalling, allow all setting's first.
Seems I remember some issues with ZA if you didnt??
