Firewall Software Protection

    Hello All,

    I'm finding that when ZoneAlarm is on I cannot access the internet with either of my browsers. (IE/ FireFox).

    I tried uninstalling and reinstalling ZoneAlarm with no luck. Any suggestions? Could anyone recommend another Software Firewall I should try.

    That would mean that you are blocking the process from having access. You need to make sure that iexplore.exe and firefox.exe are granted access.

    Thanks for your reply Chaslang.

    It appeared that FF and IE were both checked in the Programs tab as having access granted. (4 green checkmarks across)

    When you uninstalled ZoneAlarm did you reboot and delete all folder/files related to it before reinstalling. If not, try that. If you did that, or it does not help, try using one of the firewalls listed in the below:

    How would I go about that? Do a seach of ZoneAlarm and see what files come up?
