Firewall???

What is the best free firewall that is out today for a beginner user and also for a expert user as well?

 

Sygate, Outpost, Kerio and ZoneAlarm seem to be the popular choices among folks here; however, if you skim threads here, ZA seems to have issues with other software programs, finickey rules settings, and is a real pain to remove.

There are numerous threads on this subject; perform a search and that will help in your fact-finding.

My advice is to try one or more (at a time) and see what works best for you and your needs.
