firewire adapter

    I have a mini DV camcorder. I want to transfer the video to my dvd burner. I have a cable that has the same type of connector (4 pin IEEE 1394) on both ends. I want to connect it through the usb port. Is there an adapter that goes from 4 pin IEEE 1394 to a male usb connection?

    Firewire will not work with USB (two different creatures). You can get a Combo PCI card that has both USB and Firewire in them, or just go out and purchase a Firewire PCI card from BB or any other Computer parts retailer.

    Once again, you cannot adapt Firewire to USB, or vice-versa.
