First Blush with XP Mode in W7

This is just great man! After grabbing the 500MB XP file, it only took some 4 minutes to install plus a couple of minutes for VPC. It comes up as a barebones XP without all the bells and whistles that one normally sees and works right out of the box, no configuring needed!

I was also surprised at it's small footprint, like 300MB max. Another thing I found shocking was that it lives happily alongside my VMWare Player 3.0 RC which is currently pinning my cores due to folding with no delays, the thing just snaps to attention!

Kudos to MS for making this so darn easy, all it takes is a couple of double-clicks and it's all set up. http://www.pronetworks.org/forums/images/smilies/notworthy.gif I'll post more as I get this puppy going.:cool

EDIT: Please keep in mind that this is running on an Intel quad with 4 GBs RAM. This is not grandma's machine. :-D
