Fixing "Task Manager" in XP

    I had a system malfunction last week, and had to run System Restore, which apparently fixed everything. However, since then I noticed that my Task Manager is not starting any programs. So, I start Task Manager and the computer locks.

    How can I repair Task Manager?

    Running XP with SP3 I assume?

    What was the nature of the malfunction? When it locks do you have to do a hard reboot? How long have you waited to see if it unlocks?

    Does it do this in safe mode also?

    What security software are you using? How much RAM do you have? :wave:wave
