Flash Drive Changes file Names

Hello,

I have been in the shadows of this site for a while, but I have an issue I need help with. When ever I copy large amount of files to my flash drive a 1gb transcend it changes the file names. It abreivates them. Any idea on how to stop this. We copy large amounts of different files to different computers and it does this to us. One example would be Imprint MT Shadow (Ture Type).TTF, and then it changes it to IMPRISHA.TTF. Any Idea how to stop this. Thanks

I think the flash drive is FAT32 which only supports 8/3 file names

If the computer does not have the exact TTF that the file contains, windows will substitute another for it.

To avoid having this occur, open the fonts folders on all computers this 1GB drive is used on and see that all the fo0nts are installed.

This only happens when I do large quantity transfers. If I transfer a few files at a time it doesn't happen with other kinds of files, but with the font files it does happen, and it is a FAT32 drive, so that lead me to ask how do I stop this from happening.

Buy when I look at all the files on the flash drive it does it on the flash drive and when I save to the computer to it still looks the same.
