If it turns out to be a genuine 8 gigs in size. Great, but lots of posts here about readers who have been taken for a ride on these.

Apparently there is a way to alter the firmware, or something, to show an 8 gig drive when in reality it is not.

Good way to test this is to write about 8 gigs of files to it, and see if they all can actually be read back off of it.

8Mb sounds right. If that's a card reader usb device I'd say that's exactly what they cost. Now you get to pay $20 for memory for you 99cent toy.

I only use ebay to buy things they can't really mess up... like home decor, it is what it is. Can't really misrepresent that stuff. I would never buy electronics off it... just too easy to tell the truth but avoid the details of the truth.

Cheap knockoffs? I'm thinking so. I wouldn't trust my data on that, thats for sure.

The only question left to be answered is, how come, for all the thumb drives this seller has for sale, that all say free shipping, you have to pay for it?

Let's hope there isn't anyone getting away with anything like that, though I very much doubt it.

 

Judging by the guy's feedback it seems like they are fake. A lot of his positive reviews are just a few words or a line blurb from the same person over and over again. Plus, for a power seller, 24 negatives is a lot from just one month of sales.

 

tell us if it works all 8 gigs man, we are wanting to know.

 

Well, I'm gonna bet ten dollars that the dive is not 8gigs. Anyone else in :-D

 

It's so obvious it's like calling the sky blue. I don't want to get accused of harrassing little kids... again... even though some of them clearly deserve it.
