Flash MX 2004 Help

:confused This is a question to all you Flash gurus out there. At school we are currently making a simple Flash Movie with a start button in Flash MX 2004. The instructions we are using to make this movie though are for Flash 5, so we've had to investigate and correct the instructions as we go. The problem we are having now is with the start button. We keep getting an error message when we try to start the movie with the start button, unfortunately I can't remember the message. Can someone give me some instructions on creating a start button to play the movie? Or please point me in the right direction?
