    Two days ago I was playing some of my gaming apps on facebook when I was told that I had to upgrade to the latest version of Flash player to continue. So I went to the adobe flash player website and upgraded to version 19. I had to unnstall all the previous versions first. Didn't really notice anything out of the ordinary until later that day when my web browsing became very slow, lagging, and erratic. I would click on an object, and it wouldn't respond until up to a minute later, and everything was going very very slow. Some objects would react as if I was clicking on the icon myself. I went through the procedures anddid the malware, and it did alright for the rest of the day. That is not the major problem, last night I received an email from Cox cable stating that the digital rights company for paramount said that a copy right infringement on my ip address shows a file being shared through bittorrent. It gave the date and time of the offense. After adjusting for the time zones I saw that the time frame was the same time that I installed the updated flash player. I began researching the similaries and notice this item: now maybe it's nothing but I'll let you decide:

    </Source>
    <Content>
    <Item>
    <TimeStamp>2015-10-29T22:53:36Z</TimeStamp>
    <Title>Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation</Title>
    <FileName>Mission.Impossible.Rogue.Nation.2015.720p.WEBRip.x264.AAC-ETRG</FileName>
    <FileSize>1036474908</FileSize>
    <Hash Type="SHA1">a45129e59d8750f9da982f53552b1e4f0457ee9f</Hash>
    </Item>
    </Content>

    Please note the hash type SHA1

    I then went to the properties of flash player and looked at the digital signature of flash player:

    Digital Signature of FLashplayer 19pp_fa
    Version V2
    Digest Algorithm sha1

    I also found out that Flash player This if from the website: A website that serves audio and video to your computer can deliver the content with better performance if users who are playing the same content share their bandwidth. Sharing bandwidth allows the audio or video to play more smoothly, without skips or pauses from buffering. This is called peer-assisted networking, since peers on the network assist each other to provide a better experience. Flash Player only shares bandwidth using peer-assisted networking with your permission.
    I diabled the p2p sharing on all websites and everything is going at high speed.

    I don't know if I am just over reacting or just paranoid about having my ip address flagged for copyright infringement especially for a movie that I wouldn't even pay to see: Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.

    Sorry for a long post

    Did you actually go to the adobe website or did you follow the link that told you that you need to update. There's no need to uninstall previous versions as this is taken care of with Adobe's installers, so this alone raises a red flag.
    If I were you, I'd complete the READ & RUN ME FIRST and post the logs in the malware forum.
