The thing about Major Geeks is that I've had so much help from you guys that I just want to give some back, though unfortunately I don't have too much useful knowledge at the moment.

I posted this here to inform as many interested parties as possible though it is a follow-up to the thread 'What's this cute little sign mean?' I originally posted on the Games Board on 28th March, which Goldfish and Robo in particular helped me sort out (thanks again, guys).

As you'll see from that thread, my prob was that I couldn't get Flashplayer to work until I removed Microsoft's I.E. Critical Update Q831167 from my system. However, tonight, Windows Update automatically downloaded and installed Q831167 back into my system!

I know, I know, I should have Windows Update switched off, but my system supplier recommends otherwise, and as they are standing behind the 3 year g'tee, I've got to do what they tell me.

However, the point of this post is advise that this reinstallation of Q831167 doesn't appear to have affected my FlashPlayer installation, nor have I discovered any other probs as a result-- as yet. Hopefully this info will be useful, or at least reassuring, to somebody else struggling out there.

The only downside to this is that I no longer have an excuse not to visit the Arcade and make a complete idiot of myself--any prizes for lowest scores?

    Take care, Omigosh.
