flipcam editing clipping

I'm editing in flipcam software and when I go to save the edited clip I get the following message and I can't save the edited clip. It does not happen each time but randomly.

I'm using a new mac os 10.6.8
ddram 8gb
hard drive 500 7200 (plenty of space on my hardrive)

This is the message I receive::confused

Clipping Files: An unexpected error occurred. If this occurs again, please contact technical support.

No idea about your error, but you might be able to use imovie to edit instead?

 

Yup, that's what I am doing, first time I've used imovie, it's ok for the time being. What I prefer to do is convert my flipcam videos with a $20 software program so that I can edit in fcp, that was I can do a lot more with the clips but sometimes I want it quick so I've used the flip editing system but the cross-dessolves suck, and you can't change it. Well I' guess I'll use imovie when I want to do it quickly, thanks

 

Maybe someone will have more advice tho Finalcut is awesome, its the only tool i will edit with these days.
