Flooding the the North east USA

Hope MG' ers in the North eastern USA states (NY, etc.) are all OK. Lots of flooding there according to last nights news. Bazza

 

Ditto. Still not over from what I hear, could get worse. Hope not.

Been getting a lot of rain the last few days, more on the way. No flooding up here yet, 1 Tornado did touch down briefly today. That's extremely rare for this part of the country.

If it did flood, I'm still safe from the water. The river would have to exceed flood stage by 80 feet, to put my house in danger. That's an event that has not happened. At least not since the house was built, 116 years ago.

 

Sounds like you're safe. Hope everyone else up there is on fairly high ground.

Rain has let up, didn't rain yesterday until late in the night. Pretty wild electrical storm, rained pretty hard for about an hour then let up. Hasn't rained at all today. Forecast is for T-Storms tomorrow.

Good thing the rain let up, I may be safe, but several business and a few homes aren't. The river is 1 foot below flood stage now, wouldn't take much for it to exceed it's banks.
