How would I go about copying a bootable floppy to a CD so that the CD would boot and run just like the floppy?? Lets say I have a bootable hard drive diagnostic on a floppy, and I want it on a bootable CD; can I simply create an image of the floppy, then burn that image to a CD? If so, how would I make the floppy image?
    Thanks.

Well here's a page I found that requires you to use their software but often the trials have size limitations and I doubt a floppy would be effected:
    Code:

On the other hand, using an erased CD-RW, why don't you copy the floppy to the hard drive, open Nero Burning Rom (nero.exe directly) select CD then CD-ROM (boot), enable expert settings so you can emulate a bootable floppy (all the other settings I don't know) then hit NEW and add the copied floppy files and make your RW and see what happens. You can always erase it.

You can't copy a floppy image (whatever.img) to a CD since they use completely different file systems (floppies are fat16)

Although the page I sent you to is a very lomg and drawn out process, once done right you end up with and copyable iso to keep.

I was wondering if I could use an ISO creation tool like ISOrecorder or PowerISO to build an image from the floppy. That seems too easy though. I figured there would have to be more to it 'cuz of the different file systems/structures (actually I think floppies are FAT12 and not FAT16 but you're on the right track). I'll check the link when I have a bit more time.... THANKS!

    I found these old directions:
    1. have the bootable floppy in the drive, a blank CD-R in the optical drive and start Nero
    2. (I don't run Nero so I can't tell if these instructions work on newer versions) stop the wizard and click ctrl + N until a box appears
    3. Scroll down the list until you get to CDROM (boot) and click it
    4. Bootable logical drive must be A: and click the burn tab
    5. Click New, then File, then Write CD and last Write.
