My view? I would believe what I read in the Daily Express about as much as I would believe what I see on The Simpsons ;)

I think that's excellent although far off in the future. I'm not as familiar with the Daily Express as Lev is so I'll offer this more studied look at the research going on. We certainly don't need to see someone wearing scrubs and carrying a needle that could suck half of one's brains out which has nothing to do with the article at all.

I see why Lev 'loves' the Daily Express' so much!:p:-D

I'm staying away from flu shots. Every year I got one and it set me into motion of getting sicker until I ended up in the hospital, every year. Had 3 pneumonia shots, had pneumonia 3 times.

    Hi

Personally and working in one form of medical experimental research is that I would take any miracle cure with a pinch of salt as these things pop up in the journals I read weekly for various forms of disease and the crux word in all of them is "could" as while it may work in lab conditions its not necassarily going to work in the real world and I highly doubt their claims of two years, maybe two years to phase 3 trial but then if this is in lab tests only then its going to need 5yrs plus and then a year or so of phase 3 trials to evaluate the data in a control group.

Also think the influenza virus mutates too much to keep up with the strains quick enough and more so in producing enough vaccine quick enough before the virus infects the population in such a quantity to call it a pandemic indicident.

Personally when I read stories like this in the press and with their twist on the story to class it as a miracle that will cure all NOW, it that we need to wait 5-10yrs before it "may" become relality.
