I'm looking to see if anyone knows of a movie player that plays FLV movies that has the ability to pause frame by frame. if I want to pause, I would to advance to the next frames, without having to hit pause really fast.
    anyone know?
figured Software was the place to ask, since I'm looking for a program to download?

I think kmplayer has lost something in the last couple of years but I am most familiar with it. (I see it has finally gone to version 3.0 so I am going to check out the lastest to see if they have smoothed things out. It has been getting heavier anf heavier on resources.) It will go frame by frame. Push pause/space and then each tap of "f" will advance one frame.

that worked exactly like how I want it to, thanks.
I searched earlier on google and didn't have any luck, hopefully others that search can find this and use it.

Good! I see from this link that <Shift> +F goes back a frame (I didn't remember that part).

The KMPlayer is a good player with every option imaginable but I have just had problems with it slowing since switching form XP to Win7. It has options for screen capture and subtitles and such but you have to go to Options and toggle the Advanced menu to be able to have them listed in the right-click menu.

I went to BSPlayer but I don't have the controls down pat with this one.

when I first used it and it was on pause F would advance to the next frame, but now it does not. now F just makes it full screen. I figured out that E now advances it to the next frame.
still works great, just wanted to let that be known in case it does the same thing for someone else.

    I was mistaken.
I also downloaded a program called VLC media player, and it became my default player. when I clicked on a FLV video it automatically opened with VLC. it is VLC where on pause F will make it full screen and E will go frame by frame. I did not even know VLC media player did that.
sorry for the confusion, but at least now maybe people will know there is another media player other than KMPlayer that can pause frame by frame.

Caliban I don't need no steenkin' title!

Thanks for the tip, SpecialFNK. I (and many others here) use VLC, and I had no idea it would advance frame-by-frame.
