    Hi,

My website was recently hacked because of the Ultimate Member plugin vulnerabilities.

I've restored my site to a previous backup but my host is telling me I need to compare all files and make sure there is not malicious code anywhere that could cause the hack again.

Going through every Wordpress file would take hours and hours.

I'm wondering if there is a quick way of doing this? - does anyone know of a tool I could use in Terminal or even a GUI app that will compare two folders and all sub folders and files and also compare file contents.

    Thanks
    James

Have you looked at WinMerge? I have been using it reliably, but not sure it would examine the types of files you require. Looked over the settings and I saw something about detecting "codepage" of html and other types of files. No idea what this means. However, it's very good software and good enough for me to think it might do as you require. :)
