I followed all of your advice prior to posting, attached is my log from AVG. The scan recognizes malware, then I restart, only to have the pop-ups start again.
    Appreciate your help!

Why are you running your PC without proper protection? You have no antivirus, no antispyware, and are relying on the inadequate Windows SP2 firewall when you need a real firewall.

Uninstall the below old versions of software:
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2

    Also uninstall Spruce

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it. This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now download The Avenger by Swandog46, and save it to your Desktop.
    • Extract avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your desktop
    • Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
    • Check the 'Input script manually' box.
    • Click on the magnifying glass icon.
    • Copy everything in the Quote box below, and paste it in the box that opens:
    • Now click the 'Done' button.
    • Click on the traffic light icon and OK the prompt.
    • You will be prompted to restart, OK the prompt and your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    • A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt
After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this and also attach the log from Avenger.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

    Hi Chaslang -
I've attached the new file, I am crossing my fingers that everything is working properly. While using Avenger, I kept getting an "error" message, so I manually deleted the highlighted folders & files.
Any suggestions for a free antivirus & antispyware for adequate protection?
    Thanks again for the help!

That will not work and if you look at your logs you will still see all of the files. We need to get Avenger to run or we will need to create a procedure using ComboFix. What error message were you getting? Make sure you followed the instructions EXACTLY and put Avenger on your Desktop and also make sure you copied everything in the QUOTE box (that begings with the line saying Files to delete: ) Note I'm going to add a few new things that showed up to the fix so make sure you recopy the fix. Try the Avenger fix again and if it runs, attach new logs from Avenger and MGlogs.zip.

With Avenger, I was omitting the "Files to Delete" and "Folders to Delete" part. Then I REread your instructions: make sure you copied EVERYTHING in the QUOTE box. I've attached my Avenger txt. & MGlogs.zip, please let me know how I'm progressing.
    Much appreciated!

Did you forget to uninstall Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2 as requested in message # 4?

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it. This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [drmsrv32] C:\fych.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Policies\Explorer\Run: [r3UiqzuRTi] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\jozituxu.dll",DllCleanServer

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Then reboot and check your HJT log yourself to make sure the above are gone. If they are gone, continue on to the below because you will be clean.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. If we used Pocket Killbox during your cleanup, do the below
      • Run Pocket Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups
    2. If we used ComboFix then UNINSTALL COMBOFIX (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN
      • Now type combofix /u in the runbox and click OK.
      • Note: The space between the X and the U, it must be there.
    3. If we user SDFix you can delete all the SDFix related files and folders from your Desktop or whereever you installed it.
    4. If we used SmitFraudFix, you can delete all files and folders related to it now including the c:\rapport.txt log.
    5. If we used VundoFix, you can delete the VundoFix.exe file and the C:\VundoFix Backups folder and C:\vundofix.txt log that was created.
    6. If we had your run FixWareOut, you can delete the Fixwareout.exe file and the C:\fixwareout folder.
    7. If we had you run Avenger, you can delete all files related to Avenger now.
    8. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    9. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    10. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    11. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    hi chaslang -
    A couple of more questions:
"Did you forget to uninstall Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2 as requested in message # 4?" I thought I did, can you provide proper instructions for final removal?
I'm running XP, I have no idea how to find the READ ME information for Sytem Restore instructions given below in line #10? Any help here as well?
It looks like all items are gone!!! I would like to proceed to the last steps of protection once I'm able to complete the final steps.
    Much appreciated!

You uninstall it via Add/Remove Programs. Did you look for it? If it does not appear then tell me.

It's in the READ & RUN ME in the steps you ran for you Windows XP system. Go back to the READ ME and choose the steps for Windows XP and you will see it.

I got Java runtime uninstalled, thanks. I also did the system restore, followed all the suggestions on keeping clean listed below. Anything else I need to provide to you for review? If not, thanks for being kind & helpful!!
