No one in the Software thread you have posted recommended this to you. Are you referring to a different thread then yours. Either way, I don't believe this is malware. It is just being flagged by AVG due to the nature of the things it can do.

We have better tools to remove stubborn files, folder, and registry keys any way so this is not a tool we recommend anyway.

 

Depending on exactly what it is that your are trying to remove and if there is complex malware involved, some tools are better than others. Here are some to look at that are used for simplier cases:

MoveOnBoot
Pocket KillBox
Unlocker

For more complex malware we have other specialty tools but they should only be run when instructed by an expert. Thus I will not even list them here.

 

If you have a corrupt file (as in disk corruption) nothing will remove it. You will need to fisk the file system on your hard disk. If it is malware, run the malware cleaning procedures in the READ & RUN ME and we can possibly remove it with the more advanced tools I hinted at but did not list. The tools I gave you are used for simply file deletion at reboots. They will not work on complex malware and as mentioned, nothing can remove a file if the file system is corrupted.
