Forgot about speeds.

It has been a while since I used dial-uprolleyes. Forgot how slow it can be.:confused
Tried to download a 2.78MB file from here on dial-up. Showed 18 minutes download time.( 3.6KB/Sec ):cry. Went to my cable machine and got the same file in under 5 seconds.
To TeeCee and everybody else on dial-up, I feel for you.:wave

 

Thanks hrlow2........ Page loading isn't a problem, but boy, when it comes time to download something, that is a whole new ball game, isn't it? I doubt if we will ever get hi-speed, and another thing, is we only have ONE provider..... So, if they happen to go belly up, they will take my connection with them.... :cry Time will tell..........Everybody is crying for more $$$, and there just isn't any more to give..:confused And yes, it is dial-up... rolleyes

But, on the same note, hrlow2, "3.6KB/Sec" isn't too bad! What was your speed? 21.6kbps, it will take forever and then some, BUT if I happen to hit it just right, and get 28.8, I am flying! LOL

 

Yeah, dialup. Hmm. :-o

 

I use a pay as you go over the phone dial up when my broadband goes down and it is absolutely awful, i truly feel for you TeeCee.


If i could share some of my 20mbps (over 2mBps) i would.

9296kbps so mine must be at super speed compaired to dial up used to have dial up though and boy oh boy was it slow !
