Years ago, I used passwords on some files in WORD. I'd like to open them up and of course, I can't remember what my password was in the year 2000. Any ideas how to get these files open? Thanks so much, Stephanie

Accent WORD Password Recovery worked for a friend of mine who had the same problem. In his case, it was a HUGE problem because the Word documents were all business related.

According to the software developer; the unregistered version has only one limitation: the maximum length of a recovered password is 4 characters. If you used more than 4 characters to password protect your Microsoft Office Access, Excel, and Word. documents. This limitation is removed by registering your copy. Registration price is $25 for home using and $33.25 for business.

This program works for Windows 95/98/NT4/2000/Me/XP.

Unfortunately, most freeware "Password Recovery Tools" like the ones listed here do not work for opening password protected Word documents. :(
