Forgot Password To Log In

Don't know if there's anything can be done to bypass this. I have a Windows 7 HP Pavilion g7 - 1310US laptop. About 6 - 8 months ago I booted up and the monitor was dark (probably a broken wire), it was too dark to really see but I could see shapes. Wednesday night it finally occurred to use another monitor. I just can't remember what the password is. Any help to resolve this is greatly appreciated and 'Thank you' in advance!!

Please don't take this the wrong way, but have you considering writing down your password and keeping it in a safe place? I have a notebook with all my passwords for every website/program I use. Just a thought!
