    So i am an idiot!!

I bought a 1tb my book from Western digital! Thats not the reason i'm an idiot but what i did with it!

For some unknown reason i reformatted the drive(s) to ntfs.
I then found out i really needed it as fat32 - as it was originally shipped. So i used swissknife to reformat it back to fat32. However the drive now reads as only a 500gb dive instead of the 1tb.

What did i do and how do i get this back to a 1tb capacity?

i'd really appreciate help with this, i have that cold sweat forming on my brow!

    cheers
    Andy

so i guess the drive is actually a 1tb drive and not 2 x 500gb drives!
but it reads as a 500gb drive now!

Please give more info OS. What is model of your drive. How does windows see your drive when you run “diskmgmt.msc” (windows XP [ start…..run….{type} diskmgmt.msc{enter}])
