I have two ide hard drives. Both 40 gigs and one for XP and the other for Vista.
I have forgotten how to do both a hard drive reformat -- blank totally, and then remove from the dual boot sequence. Want to ditch Vista and only have the system go straight to xp.

The simplest way to format the unwanted drive is to go into XP> open My Computer> right click on the drive you want to empty and choose "Format".

Make sure you get the correct drive :).

    Thanks will try that tonight.
Last night I tried the right click format.
Then, the Next Thing is to figure out how to change the setup so that it does not constantly ask me whether I want to boot with Vista OR the earlier version of Windows. I bought this already set to give you a choice on boot up, which version of windows. I thought I had this corrected but it is still asking which OS I want to use.
