Formatting New Hard Drive on Laptop

    HELP I have a Fujitsu Lifebook C353 laptop with a brand new hard drive that needs formatting. I thought I could use my recovery CD that came with the computer to install Windows 98 and everything else; but when I put in the CD and boot it up, this screen comes up..."run time error R6001-null pointer assignment
    A:\>

    Any suggestions? I went into the BIOS and I think I set the boot sequence to use the CD ROM drive first. I saved changes, but it still didn't work. Thanks for anyone's help!

    What brand of Harddrive is it?
    If it is not same brand size etc, you wont be able to use RESTORE disk as hardware configuration has changed.
