Forum glitch

I have recently noticed google ads showing up in between posts, is this a glitch? it is kinda annoying.

 

I think it's an Oregon thing Splitt3r...you and I seem to be getting all the wierd stuff this week

 

There's a sponsored links section.
Everytime someone clicks on an add, I think Majorgeeks profits from it.

yep, just like that one, those evil thing belong at the top or bottom of the page, not in teh middle of my posts

I found it slightly annoying at first, but that's only because I wasn't used to it.

After a few threads, it's not a big deal anymore.


What other sites use is even worse, where every second word looks like a link, but is a Google ad or definition.

You even have to be careful where you rest the cursor. Now that's what you call annoying!

 

yeah, I hate those websites where they break an article into 15 pages so you have to look at more ads, and then tehres the ads that scroll with you and cover up parts of the page.

If everyone did their bit and linked here for programs, then this wouldn't be an issue.


I really hate it when people send members elsewhere for programs sitting right under their nose.

I hear porn also rakes in the dollars (most of it being mine).

 

I really would prefere if the google ads were placed below the last reply instead of the initial post, or placed vertically to the right. Right now it is intrusive when reading a thread, and at the same time it looks like one can Post a reply to the google-ad, which doesn't look that pretty.

So far the results presented with google ads, doesn't help the one needing support or the ones trying to help (Actually sometimes they can seem confusing). So the results is mainly for helping majorgeeks.com, so unless wanting to become a "Click these 5 ads to enter", then it is only "cost per thousand impressions" which is benefitting for all, but then they don't have be placed like that.

Though I appreciate that you have attempted to make the google ads blend in with the existing color-theme.

 

Yep, I agree with Halo on this. Reason, the likely market for new users of the advertised d/l's would, be visitor, in fact - as the rest of us already know where to get great d/l's from M.G.'s.

And yeah "Click to enter" ads do suck. Frankly, a lot of us, including me, 'prolly wouldn't bother coming to this board if things got that 'low'.

 

And I still haven't seen one of these ads you are all getting your panties in a wad about

MA and CP...keep on doing whatever it is you are doing

I just noticed gold farming ads in one of those adbars goldfarmers can rot in hell.
