I am a member on a different websites forum system. I visit quite often. Two days ago I was on the forums in the morning. I had to go to work, but i left the forum page open. When i came home i hit refresh and it sent me to a screen that I would recieve if i was not logged in. I hit log in and the address said i was at the login screen, but the page i was looking at was still the page where i can select to login, retrieve my password if it was forgotten, or register. The same thing happens: the address is that of the respected pages, but the page itself does not change.
Weird thing, i can log in on the other 4 pc's in my house and everything works fine. Could it be a problem with cookies? Or maybe something else? I did a virus scan and found one, i dont remember what, but it was corrected...Perhaps i need to copy something from one of my other pc's to this one? If you need any info i will be glad to give it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Kodo, I think Mr.Wolf said "different websites forum system" not MG.

Mr.Wolf, if you are using Internet Explorer 6, clean your cookies by selecting Tools then Internet Options. The in the section of the dialog called Temporary Internet Files press the button Delete Cookies... Note, this will delete all your cookies. If you want to only remove one cookie then search for the Cookies folders or the cookie itself on your harddrive by using the Find File or Folders dialog.

well then, just dump all your cookies for both browsers. Invariably, problems like that when logging in is a cookie problem.

Wow, I am amazed you do not know what is in your Cookie Jar.

That is considered a Major security flow.

In any case down load the following Free program install and Run.

It will let mange the Cookies correctly.
