    Footnotes.com
has opened their site for free this month, to check census records, they have back to 1900, might see your ancestors. Last time it was opened for 1930 I found family I hooked up with on Facebook.

Thanks darlene. On my ex's side, her family goes back to President Rutherford B. Hayes, at least. Hayes has become a first or second name throughout their family. Her father was Hayes, our second son is Aaron Hayes.

I'll have to tell her of this opportunity. Her family name has 50,000 members I am told.
