Recently had an email provider changed from free to paid. $8.88 a year. Kept 3 accounts needed for proper use. Let a junk address expire. So ,went on a search for other free accounts. Found 2 providers. Mail.com and yandex.com. Both fairly easy to join. The yandex offers it's version of cloud -10g disk. Wondering if anybody has any other that they are satisfied with. I have the standard -gmail - yahoo - and Hotmail - already. Those I have for work or other personal use and all 3 seem to have problematic interfaces. Some of the smaller providers I have used respond much quicker and are easier to get along with. Know of any good ones?

+1 for Thunderbird. Excellent free e-mail client. I use it with gmail. I for one appreciate my google overlords.

O.K. It let me create a new free account @ gmx.us. Visuals look like another different account. Maybe 1&1 hosted or partners? Kind of cryptic first.name@gmx.us but we'll see. The little twirly when loading it's own welcome message was forever. Already have a gmail for dedicated purpose. Need other accounts for web sign-ins and such.

I linked mozzy to my Hotmail account and it responds 100% better than going to Hotmail itself. What's up with that? Guess to try it with the gmail and yahoo also since they're terrible about - could not connect................ or - something went wrong............... please wait................................. It's a shame when they get beat at their own game.

As email client I use Outlook 365 but Thunderbird is a close 2nd for me, and its free. As to email services then the main ones as n Outlook/Gmail are good, but I do also use mail.ru and Tutanota

I did some looking into mail.ru and Tutanota. Both seem to be choices I'd use for extra emails. I like that Tutanota has encrypted mail as standard setup. Might be a good backup for when trust is needed in communications. Thanks.

Thats what I use then for as in backup spare addresses mail.ru more for signing up to things you think may spam you, and tutanota for daily personal use for friends and colleagues.
