free fax software

can someone l;et me kn ow of a free fax software that i can download. i have faxtools on one of my pc but i need anotheone on another pc in my home and i no longer have the cd for faxtools. so now i am on the hunt to get something for my other pc. can anyone help?

what is your os? if you have xp, and access to an xp disk, there is software on there you can install. i installed it a few mos. ago. - g/l, sos

edit - if you have an xp disk, select "install optional windows components" (screenshot below), then select "fax services".

i am using vista now and i dont have the cd anymore

sorry, i couln't come up with anything. the link below, is for Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions of Windows Vista. have you tried checking what the manufacturer of your modem is, and/or checking their site? - g/l, sos
