Free Firewall

:-o i must be clueless when it comes to this but i'm looking for a free firewall download that won't make me pay or register to clean whatever it is it found when it scanned my computer. or does the firewall still protect even if you don't repair the issues it found? don't make fun of me, i'm just asking thanks

A Firewall doesn't scan and doesn't remove any "issues" though but you DO need a firewall. Here's a link about an explanation about firewalls. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firewall

If you meant also asking about an antivirus software program, scroll down on the same link Lev gave you where you can find free antivirus software to scan and remove malware/issues?

I usually use this Anti-Virus with it

You need to give an email address to receive a registration key for avast, both anti-virus and firewall are free, rated rather highly, and can be removed through add or remove programs. Have fun trying out what you decide on. I also like Comodo for a firewall and AVG for an anti-virus. Use only one firewall at a time, if you decide to try another one disable or remove the one you are currently using, same goes for an anti-virus. Welcome to MajorGeeks:wave
