Free PDF Reader (other than Adobe)

With all that I've been hearing about the security vulnerabilities in Adobe Reader, I'm now on the hunt for a good, free, and secure PDF reader. I don't need to edit 'em or convert 'em (I already have software for that). I've heard good things about Foxit Reader (which is listed in the "Browsers" section here at Major Geeks :confused ), but would like some other additional alternatives. Thanks!

 

Thanks Halo! How do they work with 'online' PDF files? For example: lets say I'm looking for the manual for my home DVD player; I go to the Philips web site, find the manual, normally when using Adobe, the manual will open and I can read it, save it, whatever. Do those readers you linked to do that also? Does Foxit do that?

Thanks for the suggestions, but I eventually settled on SumatraPDF. It's open-source (which is always a plus IMO), and it does not require installation. I simply unzipped the download, moved the .EXE to my root directory, then associated all PDF files with the .EXE file. That's it! It works great, it opens PDF files quickly, works with online PDFs, and has all the features you'd expect to find (find, print, zoom, rotate, etc). Good stuff!

And thanks again for the suggestions! When I get bored with SumatraPDF (which is bound to happen sooner-or-later), I'll be sure to try one of the suggestions above (I already tried Cool PDF but something about it just kind of "didn't float my boat" if you know I mean LOL ).

 

I recently started using Foxit and am very pleased with it so far but will also try Sumatra especially since it does not require installation.
