Free website/domain building

Did a search and didn't find anything current. Looking for a free website builder with free domain.
Used to use LYCOS Tripod, but this service is no longer available...is there still anything out there that's free.....i.e. not you build your website, and when you want a domain/published there seems to be a hook that you have to pay....so is there still any that will give you both for free...........

The thing is domains are a marketable product that cost money to the people selling them. Thus the only time you are likely to get one for free is if you pay for it by another means i.e. long hosting contract with no get-out.

Depending on your location you might be able to get one cheaply. .co.uk (or other countries) tend to be fairly cheap, as do the sparsely-used ones like .me or .info

Ones like .com are very expensive however and ones close to the names of major companies (like cocacoola.com or gooogle.com) will be the most expensive.

I personally have a currently unused domain of collinsl.co.uk which cost me £1.50 for 2 years (in 2008) but the renewal price has never been over £1/year.

I don't know what you call this in the UK, but here we call it a Chartered Accountant.......you are in my ballpark when you start talking about finance.:-D

 

I would like to thank you again for suggesting 'weebly'......have just started, and need to get the feel of it, might even evetually go for a paid version, but I have a builder, and a domain free.
