   Hi,
   I've inherited a freecom toughdrive 250gb usb drive. The problem is that it is showing as a cd/dvd. There is some sort of password protection app on it??
   
   I've been through the way to format it , but this doesn't seem to be doing anything..
   
   Is there another way i can format this drive?

   If you are using a OS newer than Vista, perhaps you need to search for drivers for the toughdrive.
