Hi, Does anyone know if freeshipping.com is a valid, reputable website? Also, moving forward, how do you check to see if websites are valid or not....? Thanks very much for your help!!

Doing a search on the company pulls up a poor WOT rating. Doing a search for 'freeshipping.com reviews' pulls up this: http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.freeshipping.com

I have no experience with it, but would say that I would avoid it.

If you want to avoid shipping charges, you might want to look into Amazon Prime.

For $79/year, you get free two-day UPS shipping on items sold directly by Amazon and some third-party merchants on Amazon.com. If you want to upgrade to next day delivery it's an additional $3.99 per item. The "Prime" membership also gives you free streaming of many movies and TV shows (although it's a lame selection compared to Netflix).

Funny you should mention that since this was one of the only recent 5 star reviews I saw:

I have used FreeShipping.com for about 5-6 years. I understood from the beginning that I was signing up for an account with them. At the time I had baby twins and bought everything online. I get back way more every year than the yearly fee which I think is currently about $80. I get that back on amazon purchases alone every year.

lol...Amazon prime is $79. You pay the fee and then get all prime eligible items shipped for free (2 day shipping) without having to have some company refund you the money. And most things on amazon are Prime eligible. I have this and it is well well worth it for me.

Oh, and just to add for anyone who does not do this already...before you buy ANYTHING online, you should search the term "Whatever retailer you are buying from Promotional code". If you don't find a free shipping coupon code, 80% of the time you'll find a percent off that is equivalent to free shipping. And that just costs you your time it takes to do a search.
