If you use FF, you don't need additional software. Open a webpage, click on file and select " Save Page as". You'll be able to view the page at any time.

Of course you can only view static websites offline; dynamic sites that get their content generated from a database will not work offline. You can only view content that you have already seen.

I was wondering i was trying out evernote but every time you go on it they seem to want you to upgrade to the pay service --- it also crashes on me a ll the time... i tried reinstalling it too ... in addition for me it saves and syncs very slow in my opinion... i checked my computer .. its fairly virus free the only thing i havent gone crazy nby doing is a root kit ....any suggestions on different software app that is free similar to the evernote app.... i want to save notes on web pages for visiting later and keep notes too if that makes sense....

any suggestions on a different free app for note taking and web page save

Might take a look at fishCode Library (Free Note Edition) for making/taking notes. Personally I like it better than Evernote. Unfortunately, it's not so good for saving entire web pages.

With Firefox/PaleMoon there is an add-on/extension called ScrapBook. It's essentially a fancy "Save Page As" with a lot of extra(useful) features. This would still leave you with running the browser to view the pages off line though. At this point it only works with Fx/PaleMoon ver. 3.0 to 3.6.*.
